Hello and welcome to all my brothers and sisters working to spread the message of Salvation through the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  My name is Pastor Donna Dunbar and as Director of Pass The Word Christian Outreach Ministry I'd like to welcome you to our web-site.  PTW (Pass The Word) is a ministry that is dedicated to bringing the message of salvation, redemption, and compassion to a broken down world.  The ministry actually began by serving many of our incarcerated brothers and sisters in the Massachusetts Correctional Facilities through securing dedicated Christian pen-pals (who will encourage, mentor, and befriend).  We have also sent newsletters, "Soul Food" (one or two page tracts with light hearted humor and nice stories to ponder), and an absolutely free Correspondence Bible Study Program through the Emmaus Correspondence School.  ECS has been in existence since 1938 and has a constantly expanding curriculum in many languages.  While staying busy bringing the Lord's message of love, we have found that the Lord can open doors and windows that no man can close.  We have, over the past 12 years, branched into a few other areas as well:  We provide hats, mittens, and scarves to the homeless (Love Wraps), create audio teachings to assist Chaplains for times of fellowship during weekly studies, do hospital and nursing home visitations to spend time with those who are often forgotten or who have outlived family members, provide Christmas presents for children of those incarcerated, and we supply Rapid Deployment Kits for soldiers shipping out to foreign lands.   

Although located in the state of Massachusetts, the Lord has carried PTW into many other states where we are currently serving the incarcerated there as well.  We have always asked the inmates to share whatever blessings that they may receive through our monthly mailings and apparently they have done exactly that!  As of September, 2011, Pass The Word has reached into many other states and countries. Through the Grace of God we are striving and thriving.

It still amazes me how the Lord has taken a small desire and turned it into the ministry that we currently have today.  By all standards we are far from being "big" in size, but we are big where it matters and that is in "FAITH".  When we stop whining to God about how big our storms are, (because he already knows that), and start telling the storms we face just how much BIGGER our God is, then just watch what happens!  My brothers and sisters, I can tell you with certainty, if you have a willing heart to serve, our Lord Jesus will not let you down.  No matter what type of chains hold you captive or bind you, Jesus has come to set you free!  No matter how big that mountain is, it can be moved!  No matter how hard the winds blow, they can be stilled!  We have a far greater God who is even more powerful than you can ever imagine. YOU can bring the Good News of Jesus Christ into any corner of this world and into ALL circumstances of life.  Areas that not only need to "hear" the message of mercy, compassion, forgiveness, and salvation, but that needs to "see it in action!"  We must advance the Kingdom of God in a very battered and broken-down world. 

As people of God we truly need to give ourselves a faith check.  We can't simply sit back and say what needs to be done only to hope, expect, or assume that someone else is going to pick up the ball and run with it.  When the scriptures say "do" or "go" then we MUST  'DO" or "GO".  Doing and going are words of ACTION.  "Faith by itself, if it is NOT accompanied by action, is dead." (James 2:17)  We, the church, are to be Christ's hands and feet on the earth.  To be in service one to another.  "By this all men will know you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)  After all, Jesus didn't save us just so we could have the "pleasure" of being saved.  He saved us so that as we strive to become like Him, we bring the message to the rest of this broken-down world.
